  • “Mud”- The nursery children have been extending what they have been learning during Forest School. Yesterday they discovered a "mud drain" and hunted for long sticks to paint and splatter the mud they had found.
  • Bookstart- Bookstart packs are offered by the charity BookTrust, through Hertfordshire Library and Heritage Services and help every child develop a love of books. Please support your local library https://www.facebook.com/hertslibraries
  • Nursery Snow Fun- Nursery Children snow fun.
  • WOW ! Said the Owl- Nursery children have been learning about nocturnal animals.
  • Pre-school children- Pre-school children have been takling part in physical activities to develop their motor skills.

  • All in a Nursery Day- Nursery fun, messy play with cornflour, reading with friends and jumping around.
  • Lucy- Jan brought in her dog Lucy to visit the nursery children. Lucy is a registered Pets as Therapy Dog.
  • Farm to Fork- Tesco's champions came to visit and create fruit faces with the nursery children.
  • Pirates VS Superheroes- Superheroes flew in to the land of pirates. We sailed the seven seas, hunted for treasure and saved the world!
  • Storyland in Pre-school- The children played in themed play areas based on favourite story books dressed up as their favourite story characters.
  • Greenfingers- The nursery children planted, cared for and dug up the vegetables they grew in our garden.
  • Animal Visit- Garg came to visit the children with his animals
  • Ofsted March 2017 Newsletter- It's official Ofsted says Arlesdene is Outstanding.
  • Visit by Local Member of Parliament Charles Walker- Local MP Charles Walker came to view our amazing Nursery and Pre-school.
  • Dinosaur Machine- The children were highly engaged and motivated in building their "dinosaur machine".
  • Stomping, painted footprints.- Pre-school have been making lots of marks on dinosaurs.
  • esafety Day Tuesday 7th Feb- Find out what happens when little chick goes online!
  • “Can I go to the moon?” asked Baby Bear.- Rocket art was inspired by a nursery child’s interest in space and we followed this interest with the storybook Whatever Next!
  • Pre-school’s Mark Making Den- 'Magic Mark Making Den'. We have been using different tools such as chunky chalks, pencils and crayons to make marks "on top", "inside", "upside down" and "under".
  • Pre-school Children Mark Making- The children in Pre-school have been mark making.
