School Uniform
At Arlesdene, wearing a uniform is optional, however many families find it a helpful and practical choice. Our uniform items include green sweatshirts and green or white polo shirts which many parents pair with joggers/tracksuit bottoms. Each top has our school logo, helping children to feel part of our community as soon as they arrive.
The uniform is ideal for active play, messy activities, and outdoor learning. The addition of elasticated joggers makes dressing and undressing easier, supporting independence during toileting and self‑care routines.
Many families choose the uniform because:
- It creates a simple, stress‑free start to the morning
- It saves special clothes from paint, playdough, and outdoor adventures
- It helps children feel confident and settled as part of the group
- It encourages routine and independence
Uniform items are available to purchase but are not compulsory, from Hawkins a local school clothing shop, situated in Cheshunt. 
Children are equally welcome to attend in their own comfortable, weather‑appropriate clothing. We do ask though that every item of clothing is clearly labelled with your child's name.

As part of our efforts to Repair, Reuse and Recycle, we would welcome any old school uniform you will no longer need, such as, sweatshirts, t- shirts, jumpers, dresses.
If you have any spare or no longer needed items, please bring to the main school office.
