Ofsted

writing-3

In our most recent Ofsted inspections both Arlesdene Pre-school and the Nursery  School were judged to be good.

Nursery School

Our school nursery was last inspected in November 2012. We were pleased to be judged as “good” with “outstanding” for the behaviour and safety of children. Since the last inspection the school and governors have been working hard to continually review and develop practice so that that it is outstanding.

These are some of the comments made by the inspector during our last inspection.

‘Children achieve well and make good progress in their learning’

‘Children settle quickly and behave exceptionally well’

Pre-school

Our Pre-school was last inspected in April 2014. We were pleased to be judged as ‘good’ and continually work together to build on and improve our practice

These are some of the comments made by the inspector during our last inspection.

‘Staff effectively support children’s emotional well-being. Time is taken to speak with their parents before they start, which ensures that important information relating to personal care needs is shared’

‘Children form strong bonds with key persons and other staff, helping them to feel safe and secure in the environment’

‘Quality of teaching is good. This is because they have a secure understanding of how children learn effectively through play’
